1/16 - The African coast in Accra, Ghana. The first two days in Ghana I had an orientation in the capital before heading off to my placement.

2/16 - The courtyard in my host family house, with an avocado tree in the middle.

3/16 - The one paved road that ran through Tutu, the small town that I stayed in.

4/16 - I volunteered at the Brine Lowe Orthopedic Hospital, which was only a short distance from my host house.

5/16 - My nursing friends in the General Ward, where I spent one out of four weeks volunteering.

6/16 - My host sisters were great tour guides and showed me all around the town.

7/16 - My host family also owned a farm. This is the view from the farm looking down on Tutu.

8/16 - This is the amazing view from the Cape Coast castle, one of my weekend trips.

9/16 - Ghana has a huge fishing industry all along its coast. I found the fishing boats so fascinating.

14/16 - I loved meeting all the nurses and doctors in the hospital. This was me assisting a surgery in the Theatre.

15/16 - My nursing friends on our lunch break. I met so many amazing people.

16/16 - I could not have asked for a better host family! I felt so blessed to be part of their family for a whole month.
