    1/12 - These are some of the beautiful children of Remar. Many of them were neglected, abandoned or abused and never received much one on one time. I spent a lot of time just playing and talking with them and giving them love. They always craved attention and affection.

    3/12 - The children were never camera shy and always loved to get their picture taken. Every time I turned around they always gave me a great photo opportunity. They are the cutest!

    4/12 - I grew attached to the children very quickly. This is Veronica; one of my many favorites. She had two other siblings also at the orphanage.

    5/12 - This was one of my classes I taught with another volunteer. Teaching proved to be quite challenging as they were quite a rowdy and aggressive bunch!

    6/12 - I had the chance to spend some time in the Galapagos Islands off the coast of Ecuador. The wildlife is incredible. Here I’m catching some rays with my new sea lion friend.

    7/12 - The Galapagos has some amazing snorkeling sites. Here’s a few ELI-ers snorkeling on the island of Isabela.

    8/12 - Puerto Chino beach on the island of San Cristobal. It had some of the whitest sand and bluest water I’ve ever seen!

    9/12 - Relaxing on our balcony at our hostel in Mindo. Mindo is a small town about two hours away from Quito near the edge of the jungle.

    10/12 - One of the beautiful sunsets of Montanita; a super cool coastal city with very relaxed, surfer vibe to it.

    11/12 - These are some other fellow ELI-er volunteers. Here we are having a family dinner at one of the host-houses and eating a traditional dish of Ecuador; “tamales”.

    12/12 - Ecuador is a very small country but there’s lots of things to see and do with its very diverse landscape. This is cascada de peguche; one of the many breath-taking waterfalls.
